View this ESET Monthly UK threat report to find out the top computer threats in the UK.
ThreatSense.Net® collects anonymous statistical information packets about the types of infiltrations detected on the users' workstations. Thanks to this information, the ESET Virus Lab has access to real-time accurate and relevant information about the most wide-spread infiltrations. The infiltrations detected by the heuristic analysis are then tabulated, with the update against malware issued before it can spread or mutate into a different variant.

Win32/Conficker 8.49%
INF/Autorun 4.82%
Win32/PSW.OnLineGames 2.93%
Win32/Agent 2.05%
INF/Conficker 1.13% . INF/Conficker: The variant of the worm spreading via USB devices scores high As shown by the ESET ThreatSense.NetŪ analysis, the variants of the Conficker worm have dominated the threat landscape in the United Kingdom. Together, they accounted for almost 10% of all infections detected during the first month of 2010. Exploiting a Windows Server Service vulnerability, Conficker uses various methods of entering the system, while INF/Conficker infects removable media and is activated upon insertion of the media into the computer. Occupying second place is INF/Autorun, yet another threat misusing the Windows autorun function. It modifies the text file autorun.inf, found on removable media to execute a harmful application upon insertion. The third position was taken by Win32/PSW.OnLineGames, a regular occurrence in ESET's United Kingdom threat reports. In January, the password-stealing Trojan scored a share of 2.93% of all detections. Finally, Win32/Agent placed fourth with 2.05%. The label Agent is used to mark a group of malicious applications designed to expose sensitive information once they infect the system.
